The Image-Based 12-lead Diagnostic ECG Toolbar

This page describes the various controls available when viewing image-based 12-lead Diagnostic ECGs.

The toolbar for these ECGs is shown in Figure 1:

Caliper Controls

The following toolbar buttons toggle the activation of the calipers in the ECG display.

Button Purpose Active State
Toggle Time Caliper Button Toggles the time caliper control activation in the ECG display. Active Toggle Time Caliper Button
Toggle Voltage Caliper Button Toggles the voltage caliper control activation in the ECG display. Active Voltage Caliper Button

Information Controls

The following toolbar buttons control the display of patient and ECG information.

Button Purpose Availability / Notes Disabled Appearance
Show Patient Information Button Displays patient demographics (age, sex, height, weight) and clinical history in a popup window if available. Use clinical judgment when interpreting data, as occasional transcription or data issues may occur. Button is disabled if demographics and history are not available. Disabled Show Patient Information Button
Show ECG Information Button Displays ECG-derived data such as Ventricular Rate, PR interval, and QRS width. Data are automatically extracted and not guaranteed to be verified; use clinical judgment. Available only on the Results page. Button is disabled if ECG data are not available. Disabled Show ECG Information Button

ECG Display Controls

The Zoom Button

The Zoom Image Button button enlarges the ECG to fill the current window. To move the zoomed image around, click and drag the image.

Various controls are contained in the Zoom Image Toolbar located at the bottom of the page. The Zoom Image Toolbar looks like The Image Zoom Toolbar.

The individual controls in the toolbar are as follows:

  • Increase Zoom Button - Increase the zoom factor.
    Decrease Zoom Button - Decrease the zoom factor.
    Reset Zoom Button - Reset the zoom to the initial setting.
    Show Full Screen Button - Show the ECG as full screen.
  • The zoom window can be closed by clicking on the Close the Zoom Window icon in the upper right corner of the windows. The window can also be closed by pressing the Esc key.

    There are also keyboard controls available while viewing a zoomed-in ECG. These are as follows:

  • Esc - Exit full screen or close the viewer or exit modal mode or stop play.
  • Tab - Switch the focus state on the buttons in the viewer.
  • Enter - Trigger the click event handler on the button.
  • - Zoom in the image.
  • - Zoom out the image.
  • Ctrl + 0 - Zoom out to initial size.
  • Ctrl + 1 - Zoom in to natural size.
  • Help Controls

    The following toolbar buttons control the display of help information.

    Button Function Usage
    Show Tour Button Provides an interactive UI tour with popups explaining page controls. Select the Tour button on the toolbar, then follow the on-screen tour controls.
    Show Help Button Opens this User Manual page in a popup window. Select the Help button on the toolbar to view the help content.
