The Data-based 12-lead Diagnostic ECG Toolbar

This page describes the controls available when viewing 12-lead Diagnostic ECGs.

The toolbar for these ECGs is shown in Figure 1:

Caliper Controls

The following toolbar buttons toggle the activation of the calipers in the ECG display.

Button Purpose Active State
Toggle Time Caliper Button Toggles the time caliper control activation in the ECG display. Active Toggle Time Caliper Button
Toggle Voltage Caliper Button Toggles the voltage caliper control activation in the ECG display. Active Voltage Caliper Button

Information Controls

The following toolbar buttons control the display of patient and ECG information.

Button Purpose Availability / Notes Disabled Appearance
Show Patient Information Button Displays patient demographics (age, sex, height, weight) and clinical history in a popup window if available. Use clinical judgment when interpreting data, as occasional transcription or data issues may occur. Button is disabled if demographics and history are not available. Disabled Show Patient Information Button
Show ECG Information Button Displays ECG-derived data such as Ventricular Rate, PR interval, and QRS width. Data are automatically extracted and not guaranteed to be verified; use clinical judgment. Available only on the Results page. Button is disabled if ECG data are not available. Disabled Show ECG Information Button

ECG Display Controls

The following toolbar buttons modify the ECG display.

Adjusting the Page Size

The The ECG Page Size Toolbar button bar contains three buttons to adjust the vertical size of the ECG display.

The individual buttons are as follows:

  • The Decrease ECG Page Size Button - Decrease the vertical ECG page size.
    The Reset ECG Page Size Button - Reset the vertical ECG page size to the default size.
    The Increase ECG Page Size Button - Increase the vertical ECG page size.

    • If the vertical page size is changed from the default, click the The Reset ECG Page Size Button to reset it to the default.

    The ECG Page Size Toolbar is disabled when annotations are visible and appears as follows: The ECG Page Size Toolbar.

    Adjusting the ECG Zoom

    The button bar contains three buttons to adjust the ECG zoom factor.

    The individual controls are as follows:

  • The Decrease ECG Zoom Button - Decrease the ECG zoom.
    The Reset ECG Zoom Button - Reset the ECG zoom to the default zoom.
    The Increase ECG Zoom Button - Increase the ECG zoom.

    • If the ECG zoom is changed from the default amplitude, simply click on the The Reset ECG Zoom Button to reset it to the default zoom.

    Adjusting the ECG Lead Spacing

    The The ECG Lead Spacing Toolbar button bar contains three buttons to adjust the spacing of the ECG leads.

    The individual controls are as follows:

  • The Decrease ECG Lead Spacing Button - Decrease the ECG amplitude.
    The Reset ECG Lead Spacing Button - Reset the ECG amplitude to the default amplitude.
    The Increase ECG Lead Spacing Button - Increase the ECG amplitude.

    • If the ECG amplitude is changed from the default amplitude, click on the The Reset ECG Lead Spacing Button to reset it to the default amplitude.

    Notice
    The ECG Lead Spacing button bar is disabled for single-lead samples and when annotations are visible, and the toolbar will appear as follows: Disabled ECG Lead Spacing Toolbar.

    The Help Button

    The following toolbar buttons control the display of help information.

    Button Function Usage
    Show Tour Button Provides an interactive UI tour with popups explaining page controls. Select the Tour button on the toolbar, then follow the on-screen tour controls.
    Show Help Button Opens this User Manual page in a popup window. Select the Help button on the toolbar to view the help content.
